Phone Patch |
|
The Phone Patch is a piece of electronic equipment that is part of the set up in some studios. many of our VoicesOnCall.com Talents have phone patches.
This device allows the studio to connect directly to the phone line to playback into the phone line, so clients can hear the live read by the Talent, or record from the phone line, as done in many call-in type radio shows.
the audio fidelity of the telephone system is so poor that one cannot simply connect a few wires from a microphone and speaker into the phone and expect good high fidelity sound. The phone patch takes care of this by professionally balancing the phone line with the studio sound to achieve the best results. |
